The week in review...PLUS...NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!!
Good Monday to everybody, hope you had a wonderful weekend! Time for another edition of "Behind The Stripes"...
Colin Cowherd is a blast to listen to on ESPN Radio...weekday mornings if you get the chance!
Big win for Oklahoma State on Saturday as the held off Texas Tech to gain a few spots in the Top 25 & BCS polls, I believe we're sitting at #12 after Saturday's performance. Kudos to Zac Robinson, Kendall Hunter and the rest of Mike Gundy's crew for a great second half!
Watched TNA's "Turning Point" PPV last night. Not a bad overall show, Kurt Angle and Desmond Wolfe clearly stealing the show, and main event between AJ Styles, Samoa Joe & Daniels matched the performance they put on four years ago. Was very comical to hear the VERY audible "Screw Hulk Hogan" chants during the main event.
Okay, now that we've got that out of the way, let's take care of some XWO biz...
In case you missed the big show in Austin last Thursday, Team S.E.X. made good on their promise, as they walked out of Club Fuze with the TCW Tag Team Titles, beating Team XL. Highroller Hayze has been an absolute riot since then, showing off the belts to whoever will take the time to listen to his constant ranting.
With that win, Highroller Hayze now goes on to Huntsville, Texas this Saturday night at "Prison City Punishment 2" to face Mr. B. in a Prison City Chain Match. Basically Winner Takes All. The winner of the chain match will get BOTH the TCW AND XWO Tag Team Titles, the penthouse, and from what I've heard, even the lovely Miss Victoria Hayze. I'm just wondering what she has to say about that.
Hayze has said it doesn't matter how much blood gets spilled, he will do what it takes to completely take the Highrollers, Inc. frontman out of the picture completely.
Also on the Prison City Punishment card, you will see a high profile match between the current No Limits Champion, Ryan Johnston, and Riley Burke. The current champ has been on a roll as of late, so we'll see if he can keep things going or if Riley will be the inevitable road block.
In addition, you'll also see Wallace Gordon, Ricky Douglas, and Steve DeMarco.
Also, don't forget the live event at the National Guard Armory this Friday night. "Mat Wars: A Night For The Troops." A benefit for currently deployed troops of the United States Military. It's going to be a great night, and several of the XWO stars will be in attendance!
Okay guys, that's all I got for this week. I'm gonna turn my radio up and finish listening to Colin Cowherd, see what he's got to say around the world of sports. Have a great week everybody, and as always, SEE YA RINGSIDE!!!
