Getting ready for the return to Johnson Coliseum
Greetings, one and all...it's your favorite "Heartthrob" Phillip Barnard, back in Houston and relaxing after a relatively long weekend on the road. Still a little sore, as I started a new workout program this week. Many of you may have heard about or seen commercials about the P90X program. I started that this week, and all I can say is WOW....could the end result forsee a possible return to the XWO ring for "The Heartthrob" PhilIp Barnard? Who knows, I can tell you that it's not entirely my decision. The time and circumstances have to be right for that to take place. I would definitely love to make that transition back to the ring, but we'll see what happens.
Speaking of XWO business, guess where I'm going to be on July 17? I'll be back in Huntsville at Johnson Coliseum as XWO Reborn enters their SECOND YEAR at Sam Houston State University. The city of Huntsville and the university have been so gracious to allow XWO Reborn the opportunity to use their facilities and bring our brand of professional wrestling to south Texas every time we are honored to be there. And by the way...YES...I said PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING, not SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT!
One of the first matches already signed for the event will be the defense of the XWO No-Limits Championship. And that cannot be good news, especially if your name is Kelly Kevin. He was informed over the weekend that his opponent for the July 17 event will be XWO's resident big man, Kash! As if that news wasn't bad enough, he was notified moments later that the belt would be on the line...in a LADDER MATCH! I can tell you with enough confidence that I would NOT want to be in young Kelly's shoes for this encounter. Kash is not the world's friendliest monster in the locker room, from what I've heard and I try to avoid him when passing through the hallways when possible.
XWO Reborn returns to the Johnson Coliseum on Saturday night, July 17. Tickets are available now here at the XWO website, or through the Coliseum box office. Well guys, that's about all for this episode so until next time...SEE YA RINGSIDE!!!
