Recap of the latest XWO Reborn show...and things get a little personal...

Greetings everybody from the wild desert known as Phoenix, Arizona! This the one and only "Heartthrob" Phillip Barnard as your captain for another edition of "Behind The Stripes. This week, as I'm still recovering from WrestleMania, I'm gonna drag everybody through the events of Saturday night, and clear the air about a match that I was in charge of.

Before we get to the show itself, as soon as the show ended in Huntsville,  yours truly was on a redeye out of Houston headed to Phoenix where I am today for professional wrestling's Christmas event, known as WrestleMania. After painting the town red (so they say) after a spectacular pay-per-view, I got back to my hotel and had some time to evaluate some things from XWO and this is what I've come up with.

Great to see "Ruthless" Ryan Davidson back in an XWO ring. I have been a pro wrestler now for 10 years, and after talking to Ryan in the locker room for awhile, I realized that he knows the same people that trained me a decade ago. Had a blast talking about old friends and how things were in Oklahoma City way back when. I got confirmation that you guys will be seeing more of the "Ruthless" one as the months progress.

Was told Vixen Reign was pretty under the weather this week with the lovely gift of strepthroat. Hope she gets well soon. Been there and done that, I promise ya, it's not a walk in the park.

Viper got busted open at the hands of "Sexy" Steve DeMarco when he used the XWO Championship to clock the former XWO Champ in the back of the head during his match against Mr. B on Saturday night. Viper gutted it out and came back for a match against DeMarco later in the night, but he was realistically in no shape to go through with the match. It was almost painful watching the beating that Viper took. I know he went to get his head closed up after the main event, but I haven't received word yet on his condition. He was looking pretty rough afterwards.

Finally, I need to clear the air about a situation that took place Saturday night during the No Limits Championship. It was between the current No Limits Champion "Primetime" Ricky Douglas, and "Da Superstar" Ryan Johnston. There was a point in the match where the two of them thought they were going to push me, put their hands on me and walk away. Gentlemen, you need to be aware of something. And this goes to all XWO wrestlers. I have been a professional wrestler for 10 years. I consider myself a wrestler before a referee. Anybody that knows me will tell you that.

To Ricky and Ryan...I began wrestling before your individual careers were even a gleam in your beady little eyes. So if you or anybody else thinks you're going to simply shove me, strike me, or in any way make contact with me...expect consequences. Ryan Johnston, you blame me for your loss during your final shot at the XWO No Limits Championship? Maybe next time you'll learn not to put your hands on an XWO referee. I'm not gonna take any crap from you or anybody else.

I will not apologize to you or to anybody else that might be expecting an apology for my actions. Did I get caught up in the moment? Yea, I did. It's easy to do. Anybody that's been in the ring will tell you that. But they need to realize that they will learn to respect the man in charge of their match. Whether it's his first ever match refereeing or if he's experienced in the stripes.

Okay, I think I've thrown my two cents in for this edition of Behind The Stripes. XWO Reborn is back in Huntsville on May 1. You can preorder tickets here on the XWO website, or through Johnson Coliseum at Sam Houston State University. Have fun everyone, be safe, and as always....SEE YA RINGSIDE!!!
